This weekend, Battle Quest attended Rose City Comic Con Comics Pro Detail Day, where we were able to reach dozens of comic book store owners, network with other publishers, and unveil exclusive packages you can only get at Rose City Comic Con.

Battle Quest spoke about the last year we have had, after the collapse of Diamond:

“…Battle Quest was one of dozens of small publishers left without a home. We looked at sub-distribution, and after many highs and lows, we signed with Massive Indies via Lunar, Universal Distribution, and we got into the book market with IPG, the Independent Publishers Group.

The big question has been – how will the new distribution work for smaller press?

Thankfully, when the smoke cleared – like a hero in the aftermath of a great battle, wounded and scared, holding a tiny weapon against a seemingly insurmountable foe, Battle Quest stood strong as our first new comic in over a year, out this month, Summoner Wars #1 pre-sold FIVE TIMES higher than our previous bestseller.
