Justin Zimmerman – Media Director

Justin Zimmerman, MFA in Film, is a nationally recognized comic writer, director, and professor.  He is the recipient of multiple grants and fellowships, he contributed a story to the Eisner Award-winning graphic novel Love Is Love, and his script and comic work has been optioned on multiple occasions.

Peter Carlsson – Production Manager

Pete Carlsson has over 25 years of experience in the comic book business. He worked side by side with the legendary Joe Kubert for fifteen years at Tell-A-Graphics in Dover, NJ, where he was Senior Art Director, producing PS Magazine for the U.S. Army and handling production for Joe’s projects. Pete has broad experience working on all aspects of comic book production and has wrapped a variety of freelance projects for DC Comics, the Kubert School, Dynamite, Dark Horse and IDW. He lives with his family in Ithaca, NY.

Jeremy Atkins – PR & Marketing

Jeremy Atkins has worked in graphic novel publishing both in-house and on contract for nearly every publisher – past and present – for over two decades. He’s been quoted and profiled as an expert in the field by the Wall Street Journal, on CNN and elsewhere. He’s spoken as an industry leader at Portland State University, Brown University and in his hometown of Indianapolis. He continues to bring the same level of passion to the medium that first inspired the pursuit of a career as its champion.

Brian Hawkins – Editor

Brian Hawkins is an educator and freelance writer and a former editor for Mad Cave Studios.  Some of his writing credits include comics for Scout, Zenescope, and Aftershock.   In addition to creator-owned comic book titles with direct market publishers, Brian is also the owner of his own comic book studio, BlaX Trauma Productions, where he focuses on telling stories with an emphasis on BIPOC characters.
